Dear Baby:
Today on June 6th, I was sitting at work when I felt you move around for about 10 seconds. The first time I felt you was last week on Wednesday, I could feel you moving around for about 10 seconds too. It was such an amazing feeling. I thought to myself, what is this that I am feeling?? Oh my goodness, it's the baby! So just keep moving, because I love it! Anyway, so today I felt the same thing as last Wednesday! I was so excited, I just paused and sat there trying to soak it all in, and then it ended with a big kick. Ok, so it probably was little, it felt about the size of a marble probably, but it was AMAZING. And, then you continued to movie and kicked a real big one about 10 minutes later. I get so excited to feel you move around. I am getting nervous to be your mommy, and I hope I can do a good job, I'm just not used to taking care of kids, so you'll have to be patient with me. I love you already, and I LOVE feeling you move around. Keep it coming baby!! I get to see you, and whether you are a boy or a girl (even though we are pretty sure you are a he) on Thursday, two more days!! Ok, now I'm crying, ha, I must be pregnant or something. Love you baby.

Our New Addition
For the past couple of months Austin has been looking at Digital Piano's to buy online, and we finally found one. We found one on Amazon, which was sweet because the listed price was around $1400.00, and we found it for $630.00 (plus free shipping). When we got it, as weird as this sounds I felt like it added so much to our apt. like it was a home now, and I don't even play. However I would love to learn. Austin has been playing tonz, and it has just been awesome. My favorite part is that when we got it, it had a broken speaker, so they refunded us $120.00. Then Austin and Jack got out their little soldering iron and fixed it that night.
Here was a little facebook convo that I always want to remember about my family and grandpa, so I'll post it here to have it for keepsakes. And I do want to say...I've already learned the first verse to a new song....there ya go..

Krissi's Face Book Status: I solemnly swear to all my family and friends that have listened to me play the first two pages of Little Mermaid's "Part of Your World" for the past 17 years, that within the next two months my library of "songs I can play on the piano" will increase by at least one song. This calls for celebration by all I'm sure.

14 Weeks
So to our very fun surprise, at our first doctors appt. on Thursday we found out we are 14 weeks along, not 11 :) We thought this baby was just a super good swimmer and all and we'd have the next Michael Phelps in our family, by swimming through birth control. But no, looks like after this appt. that the one time we weren't so careful.....worked.....and whalah, we have a baby!
This doctors appt was the neatest, coolest experience I could have ever hoped for. I have seen dozens of ultrasound pictures of other babies, but when that doctor put the gadget thingy up to my belly and I saw that baby, oh my goodness, I can not even describe how incredible that was. It was AMAZING. I couldn't believe it's amazing little hands and feet (that got me the most), and to see it's heart beating. The doctor immediately looked at Austin and said "Look what you did to her..(smile)" We could even see it yawning. I could not believe it. Doctor Holmes said, "So you guys think you are 11 weeks along huh?" "Yeah we think," "No, you're a lot farther than that" He measured and then said, yep, 14 weeks. Due October 26th. (Which is so awesome because I am due on Austin's dad's B-day, and Nicole is due on My dad's B-day). The whole day I could not stop smiling. I loved watching Austin look at the Ultrasound too. It was just so so so cool. Dr. Holmes also said if he had to guess he would say he saw a little pee pee (yes, using those words). So WE ARE STOKED! Best day ever. I just can't believe how amazing that little miracle is. So I left knowing I had a lemon instead of a plum inside me :) Anyway, good times. He was the cutest little thing, with the cutest little belly and just oh man, it was AWESOME!

A New Announcement
This past week I've had such an urge to write some things down, which I consider a good thing since normally recording my life in writing or typing usually seems like a burden. I need to decide how to document things, whether I do it in a journal, on a blog, etc...there are too many ways to do it, and it would be nice to do it just in one spot...Either way...I am 11 weeks pregnant in two days :) It's been so fun already, despite the morning sickness, but I am really excited! (Which also is surprising, because I didn't think I'd really ever feel excited about the idea of a baby). But it's been so fun, and already amazing to see how it grows and develops. Today it's the size of Kumquat, and already has all of it's vital organs developing. It's just sooooo crazy that this thing is INSIDE ME! Thursday we get to hear it's (his, according to Austin) heartbeat too!! Another fun thing is that so many of my friends are pregnant right now too. This age I've decided is a time when lots of people have kiddies, because most people my age have already started their famililes, but not old enough to be done. Anyway, I am just amazed at this little creation, and I want to document more on my pregnancy and how things are going so I can remember. Whether it be here or in a journal, not sure, but somewhere. Anyway, the end. Love you baby.

Trying to Learn my new toy...
This is Tyler, my friend Kodi's son who lives across from me. I went over to do a baby video for her and tried snapping a few shots too. I got like two out of twenty that might work :)
Last Wednesday we went to St. George to film the Airport Opening. It was sooo warm, and on our way up we took some pics up Kolob Canyon. It was so pretty at Sunset, and I'm glad we went up there.

New Year for the Cooks
Hello There. This year has already brought some fun and exciting events. One, skipping out on work to go boarding at the Canyons, and being sore for 3 days after. Austin started P90X, and I am training for the Moab Relay on May 14th, and still trying to talk Austin into doing it with me :) We just got a Canon 7D which I am so excited about to do some more video editing, and maybe I'll learn some photography too. Austin wouldn't let me buy it until we had cash to do it, so we almost did it. Just had to borrow a teeny bit from my student loan, but I'm glad he made me wait :) and Mom asked me if I wanted to take a cake decorating class and it's been so much fun, even though my frosting flowers don't look quite like flowers yet. Anyway life is good, and we've grown lots closer through challenges and fun experiences, and I continue to be a crazy emotional girl at times. Right now we are watching American Idol, and the Office and I would have to say the Office is just GREAT! This is what Austin says to the blog: "Leave me alone I am watching The Office." I should post some pics or somethin....

Merry Christmas
Wow! It has been such a fun Holiday Season so far! I've got to talk Austin into getting a "real" tree, which has been awesome (and it hasn't died yet either!) It's been so much fun to Christmas shop this year, and I think it all has to do with us having our first Christmas together in our own place which is fun too. Christmas is just a fun time of year. Tomorrow we're going to see David Archuletta Christmas concert and that will be awesome, yay! (Thanks Grandma for the tickets) Austin's the best, I love him tons!
